Global Medical Society (GMS) Nepal is a non-political, international voluntary organization established by medical students, for medical students pursuing education in Nepal and abroad. Our primary mission is to safeguard the rights, interests, and overall well-being of medical students while providing strong academic, personal, and professional support throughout their journey.
GMS was formed with the vision of creating a united, empowered, and globally connected student community. Headquartered in Nepal, the society operates active wings across several medical colleges, ensuring that every student has access to guidance, mentorship, and opportunities for growth. A major responsibility of GMS is assisting Indian students studying in Nepal through smooth coordination with the Indian Embassy, supporting them with documentation, academic issues, and personal needs.
As one of the most active and respected medical student organizations, GMS offers a wide range of initiatives including academic programs, cultural and sports events, competitions, public health camps, and community service activities. Through these initiatives, GMS helps students develop leadership, discipline, confidence, and compassion—qualities necessary for becoming future-ready healthcare professionals.

Encouraging the public to donate blood, eyes, and other organs to save lives.
Organizing blood donation camps, medical support programs, ambulance services, and emergency care.
Establishing and operating medical centers, clinics, dispensaries, and hospitals in rural and urban areas.
Publishing health-related posters, books, and learning materials for public awareness.
Running consultation centers, vaccination programs, health screenings, and free treatment for needy individuals.
Supporting health and social programs organized by the Central/State Government.
